Costello's Guest House at 21 Main Street (off Route 9), in the historic district of Hyde Park, NY was built about 1850.
Our Guest House has two comfortable guest rooms. Please go to Guest Space for pictures and more information
Ms. Patsy N. Costello has lived in this historic home all of her life and is very willing to tell visitors about Hyde Park, including stories about the Roosevelts and Vanderbilts.
With her interest in local history, she is also the president of the local historical society. When Patsy was a teenager, she often accompanied her mother to Tea at Mrs. Roosevelt's Val-Kill home. Therefore, as she knew Mrs. Roosevelt and very much admired her, she has a dedication and continued commitment to keeping the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt alive. Her father worked for Mr. Vanderbilt...thus if you have time, she will be happy to tell you some of the local history.
We also have wireless Internet if you would like to bring your computer.
